So this is it. Love Island has finished for another year and Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham have been crowned our winners.
Laura Anderson and Paul Knops came in second place, Kazimir Crossley and Wes Nelson in third and Wes Nelson and Megan Barton Hanson in fourth.
Loved up Dani and Jack, who were coupled up from day one, were voted the nation’s favourite couple by the public, giving them the £50,000 prize.
Jack was the lucky recipient of the cash prize in a golden envelope, choosing to share the prize with his girlfriend.
Barmaid Dani, daughter of EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, coupled up with Jack on the launch night eight weeks ago when she stepped forward for him as he entered.
After a few days of looking smitten with the pen salesman, the 21-year-old cooled it down as she told him that they could be “better as friends”.
Although Jack initially agreed with Dani, the two soon rekindled their fledging romance and went from strength to strength before our very eyes.
