Ricky Gervais pretended to storm out of an interview with Lorraine after her phone started ringing.
The British comedian, who is promoting forthcoming films Special Correspondent and The David Brent Movie, joked that he was going to have a ‘strop’ and leave.
During the interview on Monday morning, the chat was interrupted by the rather strange sound of the chat show host’s ringtone.
“Is there a toy train coming our way?” Gervais joked. “Maybe I should have a strop. It'd be great… it'd go viral, us screaming at each other.”
Lorraine joked: “Is it George Clooney again? Will you tell him to stop bothering me?”
Talking about the pressures of working on two films at the same time, Gervais said:
“Writing, directing, then starring and then editing a Hollywood movie is a full time job. I did two at the same time, which was ridiculous.
“I'm never doing it again. I actually thought I'm going to have a breakdown now. I was filming [Special Correspondents] and finishing the script of The David Brent Movie.

“David Brent is so much fun - being an absolute arrogant idiot. It's one of my favourite things, that delusional character.
“Everyone's got a David Brent in their circle of friends and if you don't know who it is, it's you. We all know one.”
The David Brent film is out on August 19.
