Personalised Volvos on the way

A rapturous response to the Swedish company’s £68,000 XC90 First Edition, which sold out in just 48 hours, has convinced Volvo that there is viable customer interest in individually crafted vehicles.

Judging by the rather swish Concept 26 car displayed at the Los Angeles motor show in November, there is real talent in Volvo’s interior design team. Volvo UK product chief Iain Howat confirmed that production-close mock-ups based on the Concept 26 interior have already been made. ‘Work is ongoing to see what opportunities are there,’ he said.
