Down the cakehole: Edd kimber’s comfort cakes

HE won the first series of BBC2’s Great British Bake Off before beginning one of the country’s best food blogs, The Boy Who Bakes, and publishing a book of the same name. Now, finally, Edd Kimber has decided to sell his delicious cakes in London at Maltby Street Market ahead of the launch of his second book Say It With Cake.

From this Saturday, he will be selling comfort food such as salted caramel brownies, custard creams, cinnamon buns, right, and marshmallow sandwiches. Kimber’s plan is to see if it’s worth turning the stall into a shop and “there will not be a cupcake in sight”. Here’s hoping it makes the cut.
