Laura Tobin returned to Good Morning Britain to introduce newborn baby Charlotte to her colleagues.

The weather presenter hadn’t been seen on the ITV show since July, when welcomed her daughter three months prematurely.

Speaking on the show on Monday, Tobin revealed the inspiration behind the adorable tot’s name to be Charlottenburg, the town in Germany where her husband Dean proposed to her.

She added: “Her middle name is Blossom because when I was pregnant, the blossom was out and [we] thought it looked nice.”

Tobin also opened up about the moment she knew she was going to give birth early when she was at work as usual.

Tobin explained: “So I came into work and thought I just don’t feel very well. I feel a bit achy, a little bit tired and a little bit tired.

“Dr Hillary said “I think the baby wants to come today. We went to St Thomas’ – it was a huge shock, we had nothing ready.”

The 36-year-old then opened up about having a premature baby, who weighed just 2lbs, and how Charlotte was on oxygen support for a “long time” to help her lungs develop.

She said: “The bigger she gets, the stronger she gets and she came home off oxygen which is amazing. It means that she’s really susceptible to colds and stuff. I carry anti-bacterial everywhere.”
