1. It’s the fourth and final series

The doors to Selfridges will be closing once and for all at the end of this 10 part series. This was always the plan, according to the show’s star Jeremy Piven, who has well and truly owned the Selfridge moustache.

2. Set in the roaring twenties

Fast forward nine years from the end of the last series to 1928 and Harry Selfridge is at the peak of his success. It’s the age of economic prosperity and Harry is a retail giant, what could possibly go wrong?

3. It’s going to be bleak

If you thought Mr Selfridge had already hit rock bottom when he discovered his fiancée Nancy was a crook at the end of the third series, well, he hadn’t. This has been pegged as the darkest series that depicts Harry’s downfall when he is tempted by women and gambling, ultimately losing his grip on his empire.
