Minneapolis electronic band POLIÇA have been expanding their horizons and improvising with a German chamber orchestra. They’re working with Berlin’s s t a r g a z e live at Oval Space on February 28 and on an album, Music for the Long Emergency, out today.

US duo Marian Hill are paving the way for a second album by releasing a new song, Subtle Thing. It suits its title, as does the rest of their oeuvre, being comprised of vocals, a deep bass sound and not much else.

At the start of the last decade, Fischerspooner were briefly the most hyped band on earth. It’s now a long time since electroclash was a thing, but they’ve remained influential enough to persuade Michael Stipe to produce their new album. SIR is out today, and there are various unsettling videos, including TopBrazil, on YouTube.
