Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was the biggest casualty at the ATP Legg Mason Tennis Classic in Washington.

The third seed from France lost his second-round match 4-6, 7-6, 7-6 to John Isner of the United States.

No7 seed Tommy Robredo went down 6-3, 6-2 to fellow Spaniard Juan Carlos Ferrero while German Philipp Petzschner won 1-6, 6-4, 6-1 against American Mardy Fish, seeded ninth.
