Cilic faces 19-year-old Stefan Kozlov before lucky loser Thompson looks to beat Sam Querrey for the second time this calendar year.
Thompson's doubles partner Thanasi Kokkinakis is in action thereafter on Centre Court, while Jamie Murray and Bruno Soarez face Ryan Harrison and Michael Venus later on.

"I've played some of my best tennis over the years here," Murray told BBC Sport.
"It's a tough, tough field and if you can get through this tournament then it does give you a big boost going into Wimbledon."
