Santini courted by Besiktas

Jacques Santini, the manager who has led France to the finals of Euro 2004, is wanted by Turkish club Besiktas.

Santini, whose £350,000-a-year contract with the French Football Federation expires before the final in Portugal on 4 July, has also made it clear he would listen to Spurs if they offered him the chance to fill the vacancy at White Hart lane.

A Besiktas representative met Santini in Montpellier this week.
