Andy Murray will lose his world No3 ranking if Novak Djokovic beats Sweden's Robin Soderling in the semifinals of the China Open tomorrow.
Murray has a wrist injury and is unlikely to play before the Valencia Open next month. Djokovic has capitalised on the British No1's absence and his 6-3, 1-6, 6-1 victory over Spaniard Fernando Verdasco today leaves the Serb one win away from leapfrogging his rival in the standings.
