Inter-focus has not, however, ordered the FA to stop using the three mascots which, according to the FA's official website, are aimed at children aged between six and 12 years old.
Hooper explained: "I had an idea which I took to the FA based on some lions coming to life as cartoon characters that were geared to appeal to kids.
"I felt this would be appealing to not only kids but any major sponsors which want to engage children. The FA expressed a very keen interest in this to the point where I spent the following three to four years developing the proposition.
"Unfortunately it fell at the last hurdle, the contract. Given the fact negotiations had broken down I said I would go and develop them elsewhere.
"But lo and behold I found the idea manifesting itself a year or so later in a very similar way.
"So I sued to be compensated for the time and breach of confidence."
A spokesman for the FA confirmed the two sides had settled the dispute but refused to disclose the figure it agreed to pay.
