Hughes plea to managers

Mark Hughes wants greater respect from club managers who have wrecked his squad to face Hungary tonight.
Hughes is angry, not only because 10 players have withdrawn from the friendly in Bucharest, but because of the lack of contact to let him know what is going on.
He said: "I am sure the injuries are genuine but whether or not they are serious enough to miss an international, I am not sure.
"I want the managers to inform me so I can plan. I have lost 20 players for two back-to-back matches. I make concessions but I cannot keep doing that."

Cup ties force keepers out

The FA CUP means both Northern Ireland and Estonia have lost a goalkeeper from their squads for today's friendly.
Manchester United's Roy Carroll pulled out of Northern Ireland's line-up, after Sir Alex Ferguson wanted him to rest ahead of Saturday's semi-final against Arsenal.
And Sunderland's Estonian goalkeeper Mart Poom is also missing as he prepares to face First Division rivals Millwall in the other semi-final on Sunday.
Northern Ireland are 124th in the FIFA rankings.

Clinton leads Ireland attack

Clinton Morrison will tonight be given another chance to show he is the man to partner Robbie Keane on a regular basis in the Republic of Ireland attack.
The Birmingham striker earns his 17th cap in the friendly against the Czech Republic, playing alongside the Tottenham striker.
Ireland coach Brian Kerr said: "Clinton is having a really good spell. His decision-making on the ball, as well as his crossing and winning headers, has been great."
