Henman reveals secrets

Tim Henman today revealed the secret behind his remarkable run of form that has shot him to the French Open semi-finals.

He faces Argentine Guillermo Coria on Friday after the Britain destroyed Juan Ignacio Chela in straight sets yesterday.

Henman explained that new coach Paul Annacone, the man who helped Pete Sampras win a record 14 Grand Slam titles, had turned his career around. And Henman is certain he now has a better chance than ever of winning Wimbledon.

Ninth seed Henman said: "My game has improved more in the last five months than it has done in the last five years, and that's pretty exciting.

"I feel that there has been a 15-20 per cent improvement in my game. I've always believed that I can win Wimbledon. Is that belief getting greater? Yes it is."

The British No1, still searching for his first Grand Slam, would emulate Fred Perry in 1935 if he could achieve that goal on the red clay of Roland Garros.

"I feel good about my game and I am in great shape. I will be ready for the semifinal and go through it all again." Henman will meet the No3 seed Coria when he would normally be practising on grass for Wimbledon.

"When I reflect on the way I've played at Wimbledon in the past few years, I've played some pretty ordinary tennis," Henman told Men's Health magazine, which is out today. "If I can take this kind of performance to (this year's} Wimbledon I think I've got a good chance."`
