West Ham begin a potentially crucial month with an FA Cup tie against Southampton tonight, but David Moyes is without Aaron Cresswell at St Mary’s.
A run of six games in 19 days across the FA Cup, Premier League and Europa League begins at St Mary’s, with a place in the FA Cup quarter-finals at stake.
Moyes remains without Vladimir Coufal and Ryan Fredericks, while Angelo Ogbonna is a long-term absentee. Issa Diop is named at left-back of a strong XI - with Cresswell not in the squad.
Despite those losses, the Hammers boss is confident his squad has what it takes to navigate the weeks ahead.
“We know we are a little bit short of where we would like to be," said Moyes. “[But] the squad I have at the moment have done a brilliant job over the last two years and I have no reason to think they will not do a brilliant job in the coming three months between now and the end of the season."
West Ham XI: Areola; Johnson, Zouma, Dawson, Diop; Rice, Soucek; Bowen, Lanzini, Fornals; Antonio.
Subs: Randolph, Alese, Kral, Chesters, Okoflex, Ekwah, Perkins, Benrahma, Vlasic.
