Ravel Morrison has slapped down a reporter's suggestion his proposed move to QPR is stalling over wage demands.

The former West Ham star, who spent a spell on loan at Loftus Road in 2014, is yet to feature for current club Lazio this term.

Ian Holloway is interested in bringing the 23-year-old back to QPR and talks are ongoing between Rangers and the Serie A club.

Standard Sport understands the clubs are negotiating a loan move with a view to a permanent deal at the end of the season.

But when Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol claimed the temporary move was being held up by Morrison's salary demands, the player hit back on social media.

Morrison tweeted: "I didn't no you could demand more wages on a loan deal [sic]".

Meanwhile, QPR have signed striker Matt Smith from Fulham for an undisclosed fee.

Holloway said: “I think every team needs a big, strong centre-forward and Matt fits that bill for us.

“He’s hungry; he’s fresh; he’s honest; he’s hardworking; and he’s got a massive personality."
