Former Chelsea midfielder Ramires has revealed his desire to return to Stamford Bridge and play for the club before the end of his career.

The Brazilian left Chelsea for Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning in a £25million deal in January 2016 after finding game time limited under then-interim manager Guus Hiddink.

Ramires, who won five major trophies including the Champions League during his time at Chelsea, admits he has settled into life in China but would say yes to returning to Stamford Bridge because of his "special affection" for the west London club.

Speaking to UOL Esporte, the 30-year-old - who has been linked with a move to Inter Milan - said: "Chelsea? I’ll always have special affection for them and I want to play for them again before finishing my career.

"I know the doors of Stamford Bridge will always be open to me and that wearing their jersey again would be spectacular."

He added: "There’s been lots of talk about Inter, but nothing concrete has come my way, at least until today.

"Everyone knows Inter are a great club and that playing in Europe again is a wish of mine, but for now I’m thinking about helping Jiangsu have a great 2018."
