The Indian Premier League match between Atletico de Kolkata and FC Goa descended into farce today as a player threw himself to the floor in an Oscar-worthy display.
Gregory Arnolin, FC Goa's combative centre back appeared to suffer a delayed reaction to a headbutt from Atletico's Baljit Sahni which led to the latter receiving a red card during the fiery encounter.
The pair's altercation - in the 62nd minute - was followed by the officials getting confused as FC Goa attempted to substitute their goalkeeper. The league has a rule stipulating a minimum number of players on the pitch at any given time.
FC Goa, coached by Brazil icon Zico were unable to make the numerical advantage count, and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
