Arsene Wenger has denied that Arsenal will make a summer move for Juventus star Arturo Vidal.

The Chile international has been linked with the Gunners and Premier League rivals Manchester United, with talk that his agent was present for Arsenal’s FA Cup Final victory over Aston Villa.

Goals from Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez, Per Mertesacker and Olivier Giroud saw Arsenal clinch their 12th FA Cup title – the most in the competition’s history – and Wenger was reluctant to discuss potential additions to his squad after the match.

Nonetheless, that did little to halt the questions from the gathered press.

Asked whether he would be making a move for Juventus star Vidal, Wenger was quick to highlight the abundance of strength his squad already possesses in midfield.
