Mikel Arteta says Arsenal are willing to help some players find a move before Monday’s transfer deadline.

The likes of Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Reiss Nelson and Shkodran Mustafi have all been linked with moves away from Emirates Stadium amid a struggle for regular first-team action.

Mustafi, who has six months left to run on his current Arsenal contract, has not played since Boxing Day and is being tracked by Liverpool.

Nelson and Maitland-Niles, meanwhile, could go out on loan to get some more game-time - with the latter in talks with Southampton.

Quizzed about players leaving before Monday’s transfer deadline, Arteta said: “Well, there are some conversations at the moment going on.

“We spoke with all the players about their own situations, because they are all aware of the minutes that they are playing and they want to improve the situation.

“I am willing to help them - some of them - the club is willing to help them. And we will try to find a solution at the end, but I don’t know whether it is going to be the case or not.”
