Flintoff given second crack at Aussies

The rise and rise of Andrew Flintoff continued today when he became the only England player to be named in both squads for this autumn's 'super series' against Australia.

ICC Rest of the World teams will take on Australia in three one-day games and a Test in Melbourne and Sydney during October with Flintoff in the running to play throughout.

Michael Vaughan, Steve Harmison and Andrew Strauss join the all-rounder in the Test squad while Kevin Pietersen - on the strength of his three centuries in South Africa earlier this year - Marcus Trescothick and Darren Gough are alongside him in the one-day party.

Both squads of 30, selected by a panel including the likes of Sunil Gavaskar and Mike Atherton, will be cut in half by the end of the summer.
