Campion have a hard act to follow after winning the cup but the players whohave stepped into the boots of the Twickenham heroes made a confident startto their defence of the trophy with a 51-0 win at Saffron Walden HighSchool.

They had a tight but promising first round victory at CoopersCoburn and it seemed the whole school turned out to see how they would fareagainst the champions.

They were to be disappointed with Campionoverrunning them and reaching 51 points early in the second half when thegame was halted as no contest.

Campion have a good pack - maybe not up tolast year's standard in the back row - but are looking even more dangerousand pacy in the backs.

Ian Rudgeley controls them decisively at fly halfand another star is emerging at full back.

Six of their nine tries camefrom the backs and Andrew Rudgley's strong running brought him three ofthem.

Bishop's Stortford's young team have been racking up the points and51 of them came against a gallant Simon Balle team at Hertford.
