Eriksson said: "It's not easy because it's the national team. The players want to be in the team and we need the points desperately."
Eriksson knows that whatever his line-up, England will be expected to win well but he warned: "Liechtenstein are not France but they will try very hard and we should respect them."
Beckham, meanwhile, is prepared to take the risk of a yellow card which would rule him out of the Turkey match.
He said: "The manager spoke to all the players on yellow cards and I certainly told him I want to play."
