Who is performing at the FIFA World Cup Final 2026 half-time show?
It was announced last week that Justin Bieber would be added to the line-up.
The singer will appear alongside co-headliners Madonna, Shakira and BTS. Burna Boy has also been added to perform Dai Dai, the tournament's official anthem, with Shakira.
Additional performances will come from conductor Gustavo Dudamel, the PS22 Chorus and Coldplay, whose frontman has curated the entire show.
Announcing the expanded line-up, FIFA president Gianni Infantino said: “We are proud to have Justin Bieber joining Madonna, Shakira and BTS to co-headline the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund and our mission to expand access to quality education and football opportunities for children around the world.
“Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel and PS22 Chorus ft. Coldplay will also join and play a key role in conveying a powerful message of unity and hope to billions of people worldwide.”
Bieber shared his enthusiasm, stating: “The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can. I’m grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it’s already helping expand access to education for children around the world.”
Where is the half-time show taking place?
The performance will take place at New York New Jersey Stadium during the FIFA World Cup final.
The venue, home to both the New York Giants and New York Jets, will host the biggest match of the tournament, with more than a billion viewers expected to tune in around the world.
When is the half-time show - and how long will it last?
The inaugural FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show will take place on Sunday, July 19, during the match between Spain and Argentina, which kicks off at 8pm UK time.
Like the Super Bowl, the performance will be staged during the interval between the first and second halves of the match. It is expected to start at around 8.55pm, accounting for the hydration break and average stoppage time, barring anything major happening in the first half that causes a significant delay.
The set is scheduled to last for 11 minutes, The standard half-time break in football is 15 minutes, but with production and set-up for the show, it is expected to be up to 25 minutes long on this occasion.
