Tom Cruise was clearly keen to kick off proceedings and was one of the first arrivals on the red carpet at the UK premiere for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.
The film marks the eighth, and possibly final, instalment of the Cruise-led action spy franchise based on the 1966 television series of the same name.
The 62-year-old Hollywood star was soon joined by director Christopher McQuarrie, 56, as they greeted fans who were ready and waiting with their phones in-hand.
For those lucky enough to have the run of the red carpet, there's the perfect photo opportunity in front of a yellow and black biplane — a model similar to the one featured in the film — set against a patch of faux grass and dramatic mountain backdrops.
Cruise himself climbed on a red and black biplane and the yellow plane where he waved to fans.

An interesting turn of events given that first reactions by critics have been mixed.
After the screening, it will be over to posh eatery Brasserie Zédal in Piccadilly Circus for the afterparty.
