Rebel Wilson ‘feels really bad’ after putting 30lbs back on following 5.5 stone weight loss

Rebel Wilson has shared her dismay at gaining more than two stone after previously shedding five and half during her "Year of Health" in 2020.

The Australian actress, 43, took to Instagram on Monday and admitted that the culprit behind the scales creeping up was "stress".

She says this has made her "feel bad about myself" and that she has "lost focus on my healthy lifestyle".

Alongside a clip of her on a boat followed by an image in the same setting, she penned: "Working really hard has meant that, coz of all the stress, I've gained 14kgs (30 pounds)! It makes me feel bad about myself… it shouldn't… but it does.

"I'm really proud of the work I've been doing on new movies and my memoir, it's just been a LOT and I've lost focus on my healthy lifestyle."

The Bridesmaids star, who is engaged to sustainable clothing brand founder Ramona Agruma, 39, and welcomed and one-year-old daughter called Royce via surrogate in 2022, has spoken openly about her struggles with her weight over the years.

In 2020, she decided that she would spend a year concentrating on her health and setting fitness goals as well as a weight loss target for the end of the year, vowing to tip the scales at 11 stone before the year was out. 

She sited turning 40 in 2022 as an inspiration and regularly kept fans updated online on her progress, including sharing a number of photos of her shrinking frame.

In November 2020, Wilson revealed that she had hit her "goal weight", but assured fans that her focus was purely about "being healthy" rather than the figure on the scales.
