Kylie is spinning around

If anyone needed convincing that Kylie Minogue is feeling her old effervescent self again, here is the proof - as she gives a cheeky little spin after leaving the hot new dance show Brasil Brasileiro.

Kylie, 38 - whose hits include Spinning Around - was among the slate of celebrities invited to the premiere of the show at the Sadler's Wells theatre.

And she was so infected by the samba spectacular's hot Latin rhythms that she could not resist giving a twirl herself as she left the performance - all lit up by a 100-megawatt smile.

"It was fantastic," she told reporters, somewhat unnecessarily. "It made me want to get up and dance." Anyone wanting to see a bit more of Kylie dancing will have to wait until the New Year, when she resumes her Showgirl tour after her treatment for breast cancer.

Tickets for her four January gigs at Wembley Arena sold out within minutes of going on sale last week.

Others at the premiere included Germaine Greer, Sadie Frost, Dawn French, Kelly Hoppen and a very pregnant Helen McCrory with partner Damian Lewis.

It was in May last year that doctors told Kylie she had breast cancer. She had a partial mastectomy and months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy at the renowned Gustave-Roussy Institute in Paris, where she lives with her boyfriend, French actor Olivier Martinez.

Since then she has been in remission. Her hair, which had fallen out, started growing back and she recently unveiled her elfin hairstyle.

With life returning to normal, she returned to the recording studio and is working on an album - as well as writing a children's book. She has also spoken of the possibility of having a baby and her hopes of having a marriage that is as strong as that of her parents.

According to reports Martinez has been looking at possible wedding locations on the island of Corsica.
