Katy Perry celebrated her 40th birthday with a glamorous 1940s-themed party where she addressed the rumours surrounding her recent weight loss.

The star was accused of using the popular weight-loss drug Ozempic after she was pictured on the cover of her comeback single Woman’s World with an incredibly toned figure.

However, a source close to Perry hit back at the claims, instead revealing she’d “cut out processed food and alcohol” ahead of her return.

Now the Roar singer has poked fun at the reports by including an empty mini-syringe labelled OzempiKP in her party bags for guests.

Guests also received Monopoly Deal card games, a bottle of Moët champagne, blue sweets, and a 1940s-style newspaper article marking Perry’s milestone birthday.

Perry was joined by her fiancé Orlando Bloom, and Lauren Sanchez, fiancée of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, at the event held at the Ritz-Carlton in the Swiss city of Geneva.

The singer also rented out CERN’s Globe of Science and Innovation, offering her friends a private tour of the research centre along with boat rides on Lake Geneva.

Earlier this year, Perry sparked the Ozempic rumours after sharing a photo from a shoot by British photographer Jack Bridgland, showing off a toned physique as part of her planned musical comeback.

However, a source told DailyMail.com that the real reason behind Perry’s transformation is Bloom, who has been guiding her diet and exercise.

“She loves savoury food...but recently she has been way more disciplined and has chosen to follow Orlando's diet,” they said, adding that she cut out processed foods and cut back on alcohol in preparation for her upcoming album release.

"Orlando has been her right-hand man and has helped her out. They eat the same and work out the same. She has cut out tons of processed food and doesn’t drink that much," the source continued. "She has been looking incredible because she is sticking to the new routine."

The rumours around Perry’s weight loss picked up after she posted the cover art for her upcoming track, Woman’s World. Fans speculated that she, like many celebrities, may have turned to weight loss medications.

But sources close to Perry denied these claims, stating, “Her weight loss has nothing to do with any help from Ozempic or weight loss drugs. She just worked hard and is eating better than ever.”

Bloom, who shares three-year-old daughter Daisy Dove with Perry, has spoken openly about his own approach to fitness and diet, telling GQ he steers clear of sugar due to an "addiction" and focuses on a plant-heavy diet.

He also detailed his fitness routine, mentioning he stays away from heavy weights in favour of longevity-focused cardio and flexibility workouts.
