Harry Styles takes flight in his eagerly-awaited new music video for debut single, Sign of the Times.

The One Direction star soars over mountains and even walks on water in his first ever solo video, released on Monday afternoon.

The 23-year-old posted a link to the full five-minute video on his Twitter account, which clocked up nearly half a million views in under an hour.

The video, which was shot on location on the Isle of Skye in Scotland, shows Styles flying over woods and water falls.

No CGI or green screens were used for the daring stunts, with Styles suspended 1,500 feet up in the air by a helicopter for many of the shots.

Leaked snaps from the set recently showed a double taking on some of the more dangerous stunts, although Styles is thought to have done a lot of the work.

Sign of the Times is the first single from Styles’ debut solo album, which is set for release on May 12.

Last week the former X Factor contestant announced that he would be promoting the album launch with a worldwide tour later this year.
