Great places in small spaces

The capital's smaller museums and galleries are gearing up for two days of action and excitement as Great Places in Small Spaces gets underway.

A range of unusual events designed to be fun, educational and quirky will be held in some of London's little-known museums and small areas with larger ones.

The world-famous Courtauld Institute Gallery will be holding a free drop-in weekend for families and a special project for KS3 students.

On Saturday, the Grange Museum of Community History in Neasden offers talks and a guided walk around Dollis Hill GPO Research Station, while on Sunday they will be asking visitors to make their own war room and be inspired by the exhibition on 'speaking clocks and hiding politicians'.

On both days the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum will be inviting visitors to meet the tennis stars of Victorian times.
