Will.i.am has joked that he is a black Tony Stark thanks to his latest artificial intelligence invention.
The singer, 41, compared himself to the man behind Iron Man as he launched AneedA – a wearable virtual assistant.
Speaking to London Live about the new technology, which is similar to Iron Man’s assistant J.A.R.V.I.S, he said: “It is the closest thing to J.A.R.V.I.S. That’s pretty accurate.
“Yes Tony Stark – I am trying to be the black Tony Stark.”
AneedA (pronounced ‘Anita’) is the latest device to be added to the singer’s technology brand, i.am+ and was sewn into his tuxedo at last night's Met Gala.
Speaking about the virtual assistant he said she has a sense of humour and has been appearing in his dreams.
“I’ve had dreams about AneedA,” he said. “I’ve had dreams that AneedA said ‘make sure you tell the developers to build me like this’. She’s amazing she has a sense of humour.”

The Voice judge also spoke about a car that he has been working on which will be able to talk to him.
Speaking about the vehicle he said: “The only reason we’re working on the car is because I want to have a conversation with the car. I built the car just for me, and AneedA’s in that. I have conversations in the car like ‘I’m on my way to the meeting can you let them know I’m running late?’.”
