Danny Boyle and Jonny Lee Miller have been spotted shooting scenes for the brand new Trainspotting film.
A day after the announcement that filming had officially begun, the pair were seen on location in Edinburgh as they shot the first scenes for the eagerly-awaited sequel.
Award-winning director Boyle, who only recently confirmed that he has signed back on to the follow-up to his cult 1996 classic, was spotted wandering around set on Monday afternoon.
Lee Miller, who is reprising his role as Sick Boy, was pictured shooting a scene in which two police officers knock on the door of his flat.
The forthcoming sequel, which is being filmed exactly 20 years after the original, is loosely based on Irvine Welsh’s novel Porno.
The writer has admitted that much of the book has been adapted to fit in with the later time-frame of the story.
He recently said: “We've had to evolve past that, because the actors would have been ten years older when Porno came out, and now they're 20 years older. It has to take into account that reality.”

McGregor recently said: “It's such an amazing script, penned by John Hodge who wrote the original Trainspotting script, so there's a real excitement about it.”
A newly-released teaser trailer confirms that the film will be titled T2 and is slated for release on January 27, 2017.
