Susan Sarandon has revealed she is giving all of her valuable art collection — including etchings by Picasso — to her three children.

The Oscar-winning actress, pictured, said she wanted to pass on the trove while she was “still alive”. She has a daughter, actress Eva Amurri, by Italian filmmaker Franco Amurri, and two sons, Miles and Jack, from her relationship with Tim Robbins.

Sarandon, 70, who is due to appear in forthcoming Big Lebowski spin-off Going Places, told ES magazine: “Right now I’m in the process of giving everything away.

“I did have a lot of fairly well-known photographs, and some art, but I’m passing everything on to my children while I’m still alive.

When asked where she would recommend in the capital for a first date, she replied: “Maybe the pet cemetery in Hyde Park? It’s something you probably haven’t done before and would give you lots of time to talk.”

She also revealed the best piece of advice she received was given to her by fellow actress Mary-Louise Parker: “‘When you’re on your deathbed, none of these other things will matter.’ Mary-Louise Parker told me that in the middle of a crisis.”
