Tiffani Thiessen has disappointed Saved by the Bell fans by ruling out the possibility of a reunion.

Thiessen, 42 – who played Kelly Kapowski in the cult high school series – said the cast’s mini reunion for a Jimmy Fallon skit was the closest they will ever get.

When asked about the possibility of a reunion she told Huffington Post: “I don't think so. No, no plans of that.

“I think us doing our skit on Jimmy Fallon was as close as people are going to get, which was, I think, pretty cool.

But the actress said fans can expect to see Mark-Paul Gosselaar – who played her onscreen love interest Zack Morris – on her current show, Dinner at Tiffani's.

“We do we have Mark-Paul and his wife this season," she said.

The series – which sees Thiessen throw dinner parties for friends – has also featured appearances from her former co-stars Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano) and Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater).

Several TV shows have enjoyed reunions of late.

The cast of Friends, Taxi, Cheers, Frasier and Will & Grace recently reunited for a tribute to comedy director Jim Burrows and it was this week confirmed that Gilmore Girls will be revived.
