Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed she is a big fan of Sadiq Khan.
The actress believes the election of a Muslim mayor in London is particularly significant given the tensions of the US presidential race.
She told ES Magazine: “I’m so thrilled with your new mayor, especially in this particular climate.
“His election was not only a great comfort to a lot of us who are in the midst of a very complicated election season but it also told a great story of this city — I’m very excited about him.”

“My mother and I were taking the train to the airport and somebody told us we had missed our stop,” she said.
“My mom pulled the emergency cord, the train came to a screeching halt and she jumped off.
"A police officer told my mother that ‘not in the history of British rail’ had this ever happened.”
