Sandi Thom has spoken out about her emotional Facebook video, saying that she ‘100% stands by’ her decision to post it.
The Scottish singer, who slammed BBC Radio 2 for not adding her recent single to their playlist, admits that the rant was down to ‘years of frustration.’
Speaking to Chris Moyles on Radio X on Friday, she said: “I definitley started a little bit of a storm.
“Honestly, it's just years of frustration I think.”

“I stand by all of it, 100%. What I said was in the heat of the moment, pregnancy emotions injected in there and what not but it was a completely genuine message and I stand by the whole thing,” she added.
Talking about the moment she discovered that her single Earthquake wouldn’t be played on Radio 2, Thom, 34, said:
“I think I actually sat on my toilet and I was, honestly, hysterically upset.
“I am six months pregnant so emotions are running high anyway. But mostly, it's just seven years of being independent, self-managed, self-produced, self-released, self-financed and still not getting any luck.

“I know some people think that's it's a publicity stunt but it's really not. I'm not a publicity stunt girl.”
In the Facebook video, which she’s since deleted, Thom says:
"I wrote a song that is pop and catchy and fits their format and there is no reason why they shouldn’t play my music and I swear to God they have no idea how much it actually hurts when it’s been years and years trying to gain some kind of respect from these people."
