Rihanna sparked concern among fans after she broke down in tears during a concert in Ireland.

The singer, 28, cut short her performance of Love The Way You Lie after being overcome by emotion on stage at Dublin's Aviva Stadium.

Rihanna - who was in the city as part of her Anti World Tour - put her hand up in the air and started to cry as the crowd sang along to the Eminem collaboration.

She tried to compose herself and carry on but was struggling to fight back the tears.

Speaking to the crowd she said: "I only have ever in my life heard an audience of people scream so loud that they sound like one voice and that only happens in Ireland, in Dublin.

"Thank you so much."

Fans tweeted their concerns with some fearing for her health while others tried to console her tears with praise.

One user posted: "Rihanna crying in Dublin today has broken my heart :( I hope bby is ok!."

Another wrote: "If rihanna is crying I'm crying you're crying everybody is crying."

A third said: "Our sis is crying on stage. Those better be happy tears (sic)."
