Eminem helped festivalgoers forget the downpours at Reading with a thrilling headline set that combined hits new and old.

Dido joined him on stage to perform Stan, which was one of the highlights of the 90-minute show.

Wellies and ponchos were essential kit however, with torrential rain throughout the day and night.

Tyler James, 30, from Ashford, Kent, said: "He's the best ever. You could never be let down by him."

Anneka Masson, 21, from south London, said: "It's been one of my favourite sets of the whole weekend.

"He's done all the old classics like The Real Slim Shady and I nearly cried when Dido came on."

Alt J headlined the NME/BBC Radio One stage at the same time and told fans that Reading crowds were "the best in the world".

Today will see early showers at the Berkshire event, but it will get drier and brighter later.

Revellers took the bad weather in their stride however.

Zak Rollinson, 19, from the Forest of Dean, said: "I wanted to have one really good day of weather and one bad day. You need mud on the ground for it to be a proper festival."
