Films including Spotlight and Bridge of Spies will battle it out at this year’s Producers Guild Awards.
Despite being pegged as an Oscars frontrunner, Todd Haynes’ Carol has been snubbed entirely, as has The Hateful Eight and Star Wars.
Announced on Tuesday evening, nominees for the prestigious PGA Best Film Award also include Brooklyn, Mad Max, Ex Machina and The Revenant.
While Haynes may be happy with his Golden Globes and Critics’ Circle nominations, the PGA’s are considered one of the strongest predictors for what will win Best Picture at The Oscars.
The PGA also announced nominees in its long-form television category, which include American Crime, True Detective and Fargo.
Winners will be announced on January 23 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
