Harvey Weinstein has backed Leonardo DiCaprio to win Best Actor at this year’s Oscars.
As he’s a member of the Academy, the movie mogul is technically not allowed to endorse any star or film ahead of the awards.
But it seems that the Hollywood producer didn’t care about flouting the rules as he voiced his support for the A-lister.
Speaking to US Weekly at the amFAR gala, he said: “As an Academy member, you're not supposed to endorse anyone up for an Academy Award.
“But I have to say, Leo DiCaprio is so amazing in The Revenant. His devotion and the way he rolls it all up into something beautiful is amazing.'
“I've never worked with anyone who's so wonderful and so classy.”

DiCaprio is currently the favourite to pick up the award after winning both a Golden Globe and a SAG Award for the role.
He is up against last year’s winner Eddie Redmayne who is nominated for The Danish Girl, Matt Damon for the Martian, Bryan Cranston for his role in Trumbo and Michael Fassbender for Steve Jobs.
This year’s Oscars will take place on February 28.
