Miley Cyrus has sparked rumours she is expecting her first child with husband Liam Hemsworth after posting a cryptic caption on Instagram.

The Nothing Breaks Like A Heart singer shared a picture of herself and Hemsworth alongside the words: “Daddy & Mommy.”

One excited fan wrote: “Is that a hint to something Miley!”

Another said: “Daddy and Mommy... Wait... Whaaat??? Liam just said he wants 10 or 20 kids with Miley. If so, they'd better get busy.”

Others kept it short and to the point as they asked “you pregnant?” and “are you having a baby?”

However, the second picture shows Cyrus reunited with actress Demi Moore, who played her on-screen mum in independent film LOL.

Several fans were quick to spot the reference, flooding the comment section with throwbacks to the 2012 flick and saying they were “here” for the reunion. Some even asked for a sequel.

Earlier this month, Hemsworth – who married Cyrus last December – revealed that the couple would like to have a big family one day, but confessed that it isn’t on the cards “right now”.

“Yeah, one day [we’ll have a family],” Hemsworth told GQ Australia. “Once we don’t have so many dogs. You couldn’t bring a baby into our house right now.

“One day, we’ll know when it’s right. But right now? Not for the time being.”

The actor hinted at a very big family, teasing “10, 15 or maybe 20” children in their future plans.

On Monday, the newlyweds attended their first Met Gala together in New York, marking the first time Hemsworth had rocked up at the lavish bash.

The recent snap isn’t the first time Cyrus has sparked pregnancy rumours. Back in January, Australian media reported that the star was pregnant with a baby girl, weeks after their wedding, but Cyrus soon shut down the claims with an “egg-celent” comeback.
