Lily Allen has released a cover of Rufus Wainwright’s Going to Town, accompanied by a moving video of the Women’s March.
The British pop star, who has been a vocal advocate for women’s right, documented last weekend’s London protest in the form of the new Mark Ronson-produced track.
The black and white clip shows the crowds of people who marched through the capital on Saturday as they rallied against Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Allen can also be seen performing at the march, joining the 100,000 protesters who congregated in Trafalgar Square.
She posted on Instagram: “I went and sang a song in Grosvenor Square. It was very peaceful."
On the day of Trump’s inauguration, Allen released her personally-curated playlist to accompany the event.
