Kanye West was reportedly not committed to hospital against his will, deciding to voluntarily seek medical help after his on-stage meltdown.
The rapper, who was admitted to hospital on Monday following reports of ‘erratic behaviour’, is thought to be ‘doing fine’.
Contrary to initial reports that West had been handcuffed to a stretcher and placed on psychiatric hold after an ‘altercation’ at the gym, a source told People:
“There was a small altercation at the gym but he was deemed medically stable and decided to seek medical help at his doctor’s request.

“He is exhausted and currently dealing with sleep deprivation. He went to the hospital at will under the advice of his physician. He’s fine.”
The insider went on to say that the 39-year-old “was not restrained” and “went freely” to the LA hospital.
Wife Kim Kardashian as well as members of the family are thought to be at his bedside as he recovers.
