A mural of Kanye West kissing himself has been removed from a wall in Sydney, Australia.

Artist Scott Marsh painted the six metre tall mural on a wall in Chippendale but painted over it after reportedly being offered $100,000 by West’s representatives.

Mr Marsh alleged that someone claiming to be from the US rapper’s management contacted him last month to offer him a "pretty decent chunk of money" to remove the mural which is based on a photoshopped picture of West and his wife Kim Kardashian from the Grammy Awards.

In response to the alleged claim, the artist asked for a six-figure payment for a print of the image and a lifetime supply of West's Yeezy Boost trainers.

Mr Marsh revealed on Instagram that the image had been sold, but it is not clear who the buyer is.

Posting alongside an image of himself painting over the mural he wrote: “It’s been real yeezy.”

Not keen to destroy the whole painting, Mr Marsh has left West's finger on the wall as a tribute saying: “I left his pinky.”

Another artist called Lushsux has also created two images of Kardashian's famous nude bathroom selfie in Melbourne.
