Kanye West has dropped his biggest hint yet that he is considering swapping music for politics.
The US rapper, 40, appeared to suggest he will run for presidency in 2024 after posting and then swiftly deleting a tweet showing pictures of his face in what appeared to be mock up campaign posters.
West’s face can be seen alongside the words “Keep America Great” and the hashtag “#Kanye2024”.
He posted the image alongside a thinking face emoji, leading fans to interpret the tweet as confirmation of his presidential bid.
West first voiced his plans to run for the White House in 2020 during the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.
On accepting the lifetime achievement honour he said: “And yes, as you probably could’ve guessed in this moment, I’ve decided in 2020 to run for president.”

He later told Radio 1’s Annie Mac: “When I talk about the idea of being president, I’m not saying I have any political views.
“I don’t have views on politics, I just have a view on humanity, on people, on the truth.
“If there is anything that I can do with my time and my day, to somehow make a difference while I’m alive I’m going to try to do it.”

West recently announced he will be releasing two albums this year, a solo album and collaboration with Kid Cudi.
He is also working on his debut book, which he will write in “real time” on Twitter to avoid teaming up with publishers who he claims will tell him what to do.
