Dapper Laughs has revealed that he considers himself a feminist.
The comedian – who was well known for his “she knows” catchphrase – was heavily criticised after video footage appeared to show him joking that a woman in the audience was “gagging for a rape”.
His ITV2 show On The Pull was ended and he cancelled his tour before publicly apologising on Newsnight.
When asked by On Demand News reporter Caroline Criado-Perez about his views on feminism, the comedian - real name Daniel O’Reilly - said: "Of course, equal rights for men and women. If you asked me if I consider myself a feminist. I’d say yeah.
“I got frustrated before because as I said in another interview, instead of condemning me, why not help me educate my fans?

“I left it a while but I’ve come back to it now, and there are some subjects that I’ve certainly learned about that I’d like to pass on in a way I know I can communicate to my fans."
He continued: “I didn’t realise how much women had to deal with – sexual advances and sexual harassment – on an average day-to-day basis. I didn't realise how much of a problem it was until my content about it... I came under so much fire, I learned about it."
