His on screen alter ego, Captain America may have been frozen in ice for 70 years, but actor Chris Evans struggled to deal with a jug of icy water on Jimmy Fallon.
Evans, 34, had a pitcher of ice water funnelled into his trousers during a game of Blackjack – with a twist.
Fallon had a score of 17 to Evans’ 16 – but he lost the round after drawing an Ace for his third and final card.
The actor screamed "no" as he placed the funnel in his trousers before flinging it out when the cold became unbearable.
“Forget coffee, this really wakes you up,” he joked.
But after losing for a second time in the final round – Fallon changed the rules and Evans was doused in a gallon of ice water.

Evans has been busy promoting his latest film, Captain America: Civil War.
The third film in the Marvel franchise stars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johannsson and Elizabeth Olsen – who Evans recently denied he was dating.
During an appearance together on the Ellen Show, Ellen DeGeneres spoke about rumours that have emerged suggesting the actors are dating.
Making a joke of the situation, Olsen said: "Well we’ve been dating for like secretly for the last three years... We're actually engaged."
