Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “Cheryl doesn’t want people to use the Fernandez-Versini last name wherever that is possible.
"She wants to put the marriage and an unhappy chapter in her life behind her.
“But there are obviously practical matters to sort out and she can’t drop it officially until the decree nisi is granted.
“At the moment there’s still wrangling going on over the terms of the divorce.”

The news comes just after the former Girls Aloud singer seemed to confirm a romance with One Direction member Liam Payne.
Payne recently changed his Instagram profile picture to a comfortable shot with Cheryl, while the pair were also spotted out shopping together.
It seems that the duo’s romance sparked around the time of the X Factor 2015 final, where One Direction gave their final performance before beginning their hiatus.
