Bruce Jenner has joined Twitter for the first time after revealing that her new name is Caitlyn.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star decided to announce herself as a woman to the world by creating a brand new profile just moments after Vanity Fair posted a shot from her cover shoot.
After retweeting the photo, Jenner posted an emotional message, which read:
“I'm so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can't wait for you to get to know her/me.”

Jenner’s family also took to the social networking site to support her just moments after the Vanity Fair cover was revealed.

Kim Kardashian, who revealed that she was pregnant with her second child just hours before, added:
“Caitlyn Jenner for Vanity Fair Annie Leibovitz! How beautiful! Be happy, be proud, live life YOUR way!"
Jenner’s daughter Kendall Jenner simply wrote: “Be free now pretty bird."
Her other daughter, Kylie Jenner, posted a shot of the cover on Instagram, under the caption: “My angel on earth! #Caitlyn.”

Jenner announced her plans for gender reassignment during an emotional interview with Diane Sawyer last month but has not been publicly seen as a woman until now.
In one quote from the interview, Jenner says: “If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life.’ ”
