BBC Breakfast presenter Bill Turnbull proved that Kit Harington will forever be known as Jon Snow after he made a slip-up on live TV.
Harington was on the show to discuss his latest role in Doctor Faustus at London’s Duke Of York theatre when Turnbull referred to him as his Game of Thrones alter ego, Snow.
At the end of the interview he said to Harington: “Thanks very much, Jon.”
Co-host Louise Minchin was amused by the gaffe and corrected Turnbull on his mistake.
He apologised profusely: “That’s a terrible thing. I’m so sorry…that’s a really bad thing to have done.”
Sensing his embarrassment, Harington said: “Don’t worry it happens.”

Turnbull then tried to make light of the situation, saying: “What’s that line? I know you, Kit Harington.”
The actor addressed the fate of Snow during his interview and told Turnbull and Minchin that the character is “dead”.
“I think anyone who wants to know what happens in season six has to wait until it comes out,” he said. “All I can tell you is Jon Snow is dead. He died at the end of the last season.”
